Built for partners who need better genetics

If you are an independent seed company or processor, the problem is familiar:

You rely on third-party genetics, but the options are limited, undifferentiated, or not aligned with your market.

PURIS solves that problem.

Breeding innovation, brought to market

Better genetics

Non-GMO corn, soy, and pea genetics bred for real-world performance in commercial systems.

Built to scale

Nearly 40 years of breeding innovation, licensed to partners who can scale it.

Long-term alignment

Partnerships built on execution and shared commitment that create lasting value.

Struggling with any of these genetics challenges?

Limited access to competitive non-GMO genetics

PURIS Solution

As a family-owned company, PURIS is able to move quickly, stay flexible, and pursue collaborations that larger companies often overlook. Our genetics portfolio spans non‑GMO corn, soy, and pea crops, with maturity ranges designed to fit diverse growing regions and commercial systems. Backed by more than 40 years of genetics R&D, including active breeding, selection, and yield trialing programs, we work with select partners to bring high-performance genetics to market where there is a strong strategic fit and a shared commitment to building long-term value.

Strong downstream strategy, but no control over genetics

PURIS Solution

PURIS licensing is structured as a system, not a transaction:

  • Traits aligned with food processors’ needs
  • Active breeding program advancing new traits and improved performance
  • Parent seed supplied by PURIS
  • Controlled multiplication into commercial seed
  • Alignment with processing or offtake channels

This allows partners to connect genetics directly to throughput and margin across the full system.

Inconsistent supply or unpredictable crop performance

PURIS Solution

Our genetics are designed to deliver competitive performance across environments, with demonstrated yield advantages in commercial conditions. This supports:

  • More stable supply
  • Higher processing utilization
  • Greater predictability in sourcing

Large feed operations need more control over seed supply

PURIS Solution

PURIS can support these operations through a licensing arrangement that gives qualified partners access to genetics while allowing them to manage seed production within their own system. This model can be especially relevant for large organic feed programs that need dependable supply, acreage flexibility, and economics that work at scale.

  • Greater control over seed supply and availability
  • Economics aligned with large-acreage feed programs
  • A path to scale organic feed production with more consistency

Need genetics tailored to your processing or customers

PURIS Solution

PURIS works with select partners to align genetics to end-use requirements, including:

  • Processing performance
  • Functional attributes
  • Customer-specific needs

This is particularly relevant for food, ingredient, and feed applications where genetics directly impact product performance.

No internal breeding capability, but growing pressure to differentiate

PURIS Solution

We provide a breeding-backed genetics platform built over more than 40 years of active breeding, selection, and multi-location yield trialing, so partners can compete without building their own R&D infrastructure. Using conventional breeding methods, we develop non-GMO corn, soy, and pea genetics for real-world performance across multiple environments, with traits tailored to food-grade markets, regional adaptation, and consistent agronomic performance.

Performance Across Key Crops

Built to anchor your seed portfolio

Foundation for building a competitive seed business.

Corn is the primary entry point for partners building or upgrading a regional seed platform. Most independent companies face the same issue: access to competitive corn genetics is limited, especially outside major seed company networks.

What defines PURIS corn genetics:

  • Broad, adaptable platform designed for multiple regions and environments
  • Strong agronomic performance with emphasis on consistency and reliability
  • A deep pipeline built through long-term breeding investment
  • Yellow and white corn inbreds and hybrids available

Why this matters commercially:

  • Enables independent companies to compete on performance, not just price
  • Supports building a differentiated corn portfolio without internal R&D
  • Provides a scalable foundation for regional growth

How partners use it:

  • Build or upgrade a regional branded seed offering
  • Expand into new maturity zones where access is limited
  • Support integrated grain or feed systems

Where yield meets market access

Connects agronomy to differentiated market access.

Soy combines agronomic performance with market-specific differentiation. For many partners, this is where genetics start to connect directly to end-use value.

What defines PURIS soy genetics:

  • High-performance lines across key maturity groups
  • Strong positioning in food-grade and export markets
  • Specialty profiles for targeted applications

Why this matters commercially:

  • Allows partners to compete beyond commodity soy
  • Enables access to higher-value end markets tied to quality and composition
  • Aligns seed decisions with downstream revenue opportunities

How partners use it:

  • Supply food-grade or export-focused contracts
  • Build differentiated offerings tied to customer requirements
  • Integrate seed, grain, and offtake into a unified system

Driving system economics from seed to processing

Maximizes system throughput and processing value.

Pea genetics at PURIS are not positioned as a standalone seed product. They are designed to drive full-system performance, from field yield to processing throughput.

What defines PURIS pea genetics:

  • Developed to support ingredient systems at scale
  • Strong performance across multiple environments
  • Built from a long-term breeding program focused on consistency and output

What we see in performance:

  • Yield advantage versus standard commercial varieties
  • Stronger differentiation in stable production environments
  • Direct impact on protein produced per hectare

Why this matters commercially:

  • More tons per hectare increases processing utilization and margin
  • Genetics become a lever on total system output, not just seed cost
  • Particularly valuable for integrated seed → grain → processing models

How partners use it:

  • Build acreage in new geographies
  • Feed processing or export systems with consistent supply
  • Align seed decisions directly to throughput and profitability

How the licensing model works

PURIS licensing is designed to be simple in structure, but disciplined in execution. The goal is to ensure genetics perform the way they are intended and that value is captured across the full system.

1. Access to genetics

PURIS provides access to select partners for parent seed (R1) of approved varieties in defined regions. Access is limited and intentional to ensure long-term performance and partner success.

2. Controlled multiplication

Partners multiply R1 into commercial seed (R2) under defined protocols. This maintains genetic integrity, traceability, and consistency across environments.

3. Acreage and commercialization

R2 is deployed through your grower network. As acreage scales, genetics performance translates into higher yield, more tons produced, and stronger downstream economics.

4. Aligned economics

Royalties are tied to commercial seed adoption ensuring PURIS participates in value creation while the majority of downstream economics remain with the partner.

5. Built for scale with control

The model is designed to scale acreage in new regions while maintaining strict controls around usage, multiplication, and stewardship.

Designed for partners who can scale

The strongest outcomes come from partners who can connect genetics to acreage and acreage to end market value, including:

  • Seed distribution
  • Grain offtake
  • Processing

This is not just access to genetics. It is a model designed to help you build a stronger system.
