Every PURIS variety is naturally bred (never genetically modified) using standard breeding practices. We focus on breeding for non-GMO and organic systems, so our seeds are vigorous in organic fields, help with weed suppression, and thrive without synthetic chemicals. (In fact, PURIS runs only non-GMO, organic processing facilities, ensuring your crop stays pure from field to food.)
Performance for Americans
We target North American soils and climates. Our soybeans can handle Midwest growing conditions (with traits like strong tolerance to SCN, white mold, and SDS common in the region). Our peas thrive in both the heat and humidity of the South and the short summers up North. And our corn hybrids deliver robust yields with great standability and stress tolerance in real on-farm conditions. Wherever you farm, chances are we have a variety bred for you.
Support with Non-GMO Corn
Corn is a cornerstone crop, so we’ve made it part of the PURIS family too. PURIS is one of the few independent seed companies breeding its own non-GMO corn inbreds and hybrids. While our pea and soybean programs include full-production contracts, we offer high-performing yellow corn hybrids as a seed-only program (no buy-back) to round out your rotation. These corn varieties – available across all our key regions – are developed to excel in both conventional and organic systems. And coming soon, we’ll introduce white non-GMO corn hybrids (available in 2027) – a unique offering that opens new specialty markets and underscores our food-first mission.
